Rare Cancers Bill passes its second reading

On 14th March, Scott Arthur’s Rare Cancers Bill passed its second reading!

The Bill, which Siobhain encouraged Scott to take on following his success in the Private Members Bill ballot, aims to incentivise research and investment into the treatment of rare types of cancer, including Glioblastomas.

Siobhain spoke at the second reading to share her hope that this Bill will push treatment forward after 20 years without progress in the treatment of Glioblastomas. Siobhain shared that she wished the Bill could have done more, and acted quicker, but that it is a step in the right direction.

Siobhain was pleased to see Health Minister Ashley Dalton offer Government support for the Bill.
