Siobhain McDonagh MP is delighted to continue supporting Mitcham Park Girls football team as another exciting football season gets underway.

Women's football has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with England's Lionesses inspiring a whole new generation of girls to get involved in the beautiful game.

But while the achievements of the national team have captured the country's imagination, it is at grassroots clubs like Mitcham Park Girls where so many footballing journeys begin.

Supporting grassroots football

Grassroots football clubs play an important role in communities across the country.

They give young people the opportunity to get active, develop their skills, build confidence and make lifelong friendships.

Having the opportunity to play football in a welcoming and supportive environment is incredibly important.

Siobhain is proud to sponsor Mitcham Park Girls, helping to support the next generation of local footballers.

The team proudly wear shirts featuring Siobhain's sponsorship.

Celebrating our local volunteers

Clubs like Mitcham Park Girls rely on the dedication of coaches, volunteers and parents who give up their time to support young players.

From organising training sessions and matches to supporting the team on weekends, their commitment helps provide opportunities for young people to enjoy sport and develop their talents.

Siobhain is grateful to everyone involved in making grassroots football possible and is delighted to play a part in supporting the club.

She wishes all the players, coaches and their families a fantastic season.

Come on you girls!
