Mitcham has got a new banking hub

Last week, Siobhain cut the ribbon at the launch of Mitcham’s brand new banking hub.

In 2025, the last bank in Mitcham closed its doors. Together with local residents, Siobhain started a campaign to ensure Mitcham would not lose these vital services.

At first, we were told Mitcham didn’t qualify for a hub. But the people of Mitcham fought hard to bring a banking hub to the town centre - even bringing the CEO of LINK to Mitcham to hear our case. And last week, Siobhain had the pleasure of opening that hub.

The services our new banking hub will offer:

The banking hub is open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. There is a dedicated counter to get cash, put cash in, and pay your bills.

In addition, each day a different major bank will be present and available for a private 1 to 1 with a bank representative. Check the rota below to see when your bank will be at the Mitcham banking hub:

  • Monday - Halifax

  • Tuesday - Lloyds

  • Wednesday - HSBC

  • Thursday - Barclays

  • Friday - NatWest
