Save Mitcham Police Station Campaign.

Help Siobhain Save Mitcham Police Station

Between 2010 and 2024, the Conservatives inflicted significant cuts on police stations and services across the country. As a result, Mitcham Police Station has been under threat of closure for many years, and its future is still not certain.

While Merton continues to be one of the safest boroughs in London, shutting our local station in Mitcham would undermine the neighbourhood policing model. Officers would be forced to spend more time traveling to their assigned areas, leaving less time to focus on preventing and addressing crime.

With the new government’s commitment to neighbourhood policing, we’re calling on Sir Mark Rowley, the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, to guarantee the future of Mitcham Police Station in the upcoming Estates Strategy.
