St Helier campaigners claim “victory at last”
Mitcham and Morden MP Siobhain McDonagh has hailed the announcement that St Helier will be the site of the area’s District General Hospital as “a victory for common sense, and a victory for thousands of local campaigners”. Siobhain is also delighted that plans to re-open the Wilson Hospital in Mitcham will also now be drawn up. The Wilson was shut under the last Conservative Government.
