Church Christmas Services

I hope you are all staying safe and keeping well in the run up to Christmas. As many residents have asked me about church services over the Christmas period, I have put together a list of Church services in Mitcham and Morden and also links for how to watch online.

St Olave's Church – Church Walk, London, SW16 5JH

The first Christmas Eve Christmas Mass will begin at 5.30pm, followed by a Midnight Mass which will start at 11.30pm. There will be one Christmas Day Mass which will be starting at 10am, everyone is welcome. Finally, there will be a Boxing Day Holy Family Mass which will begin at 10am.


St Barnabas Church – Gorringe Park Avenue, Mitcham, CR4 2DJ.

To begin the celebrations on Christmas Eve there will be a Midnight Mass that will start at 11.30pm on the 24th. On Christmas Day there will be a 10am Christmas Family Service, everyone is welcome. The Boxing Day Service will begin at 10am and will be the first Sunday of Christmas.


Emmanuel Church – Dudley Drive, Morden, SM4 4RJ.

There will be an All-Age Christingle Service on Friday 24th December to kick off celebrations of ‘only one more sleep’ before Christmas, this service will start at 3pm and will last approximately one hour.

There will also be a Midnight Communion Service on the 24th which will start at 11.30pm. The Christmas Day Service will be a Christmas All-Age Celebration which will start at 10.30am.


St George’s Church – Central Road, Morden, SM4 5RJ.

There will be a Christmas Eve Crib Service at 4pm and a Christmas Day Service at 10:30am. You can attend these services in person or online. Everyone is very welcome, and details can be found on stgm.uk/Christmas. You can attend these services in person or online.

St Martin’s Church Morden – Cramborne Road, Morden, SM4 4JN.

The Christmas Eve Crib and Christingle Service will be at 4pm and there will be a Christmas Day All-Age Service at 10:30am.

Morden Baptist Church - Crown Lane, Morden, SM4 5BL.

On the 24th of December there will be a Midnight Reflective Communion Service from 11.30pm-12.15am. There will be a Christmas Day Celebration Service on the 25th of December from 10.15am-11.15am.

St Joseph’s Church - Colliers Wood, 30 Park Road, London, SW19 2HS.

On Friday 24th December there will be Christmas Eve Mass at 9.30am, a Carol Service in the evening at 9pm, and a final Vigil Mass at 10pm before Christmas. There will also be a Christmas Day mass at 10am.
These masses will be streamed live on the church’s website which you can visit by following this link www.stjosephscollierswood.co.uk.


St Peter’s and St Paul’s RC Church - Cranmer Road, Mitcham, CR4 4LD.

There will be a Christmas Eve Children’s Nativity Mass at 6.30pm, the evening Solemn Mass of the Nativity will be starting at 11.15pm. There will be three Christmas Day masses at 8am, 9:30am, and 11:30am, no evening mass will go ahead.

Mitcham Parish Church - Church Path, Mitcham, CR4 3BN.

There will be a Crib Service on Christmas Eve at 4pm, a Christmas Day Midnight Mass and a Christmas Day Service at 10am.

Church of Ascension - Sherwood Park Road, Mitcham, CR4 1NJ.

To begin celebrations the day before Christmas there will be a Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve starting at 11.30pm. For the Christmas Day service there will be a Parish Eucharist at 10am.


Christ Church - 58 Christchurch Road, Colliers Wood, London, SW19.

There will be a Christmas Eve Crib Service at 4.30pm and a Midnight Mass starting 11.30pm. For Christmas Day celebrations there will be a Christmas Day service at 10.30am.

St Lawrence Church - The Rectory, London Road, Morden, SM4 5QT.

To celebrate Christmas Eve there will be a Crib Service at 4pm and a Midnight Communion at 11.15pm. To finish off there will be a Christmas Day Celebration for All-Ages at 10:30am on Saturday 25th December.

St Theresa’s of the child Jesus - 250 Bishopsford Road, Morden, SM4 6BZ.

There will be a Christmas Eve Daily Mass at 10am, there will also be a Christmas Day Daily Mass at 10am, and a Vigil Mass at 5.30pm.

St Mark’s Church -  St Mark’s Road, Mitcham, CR4 2LF. N/A 

There will be an evening Midnight Mass Service on the 24th December that will be starting at 11.30pm. On Christmas Day there will be a Christmas Celebration Service at 10am.

St Michael’s Catholic Church – 9 Ferne Avenue, Mitcham, CR4 1LS,

On Christmas Eve, there will be a Mass at 9:30am, followed by a Vigil Mass of Christmas at 6pm and a Christmas Night Mass at 12am. On Christmas Day there will be a Christmas Mass at 10am.
