Merton Heritage Centre The Canons, Madeira Road, Mitcham. The history of Merton through a comprehensive collection of documents and items exhibited in a local museum, with an ever changing programme of exhibitions and events. Open Fridays and Saturdays 10.00 am - 5.00 pm. 020 8640 9387.
Morden Hall Park A green oasis in the heart of suburbia, a former deer park with a network of waterways, ancient hay meadows and avenues of trees. 020 8648 1845.
Merton Abbey Mills Merantun Way. Popular week-end craft market and visitor centre on the River Wandle; shops, restaurant, cafe and riverside pub open all week. Working water wheel and archaeological remains of historic Merton Priory. 020 8543 9608.
