Pop up vaccine hub - Phipps Bridge

Good news! Anyone over the age of 25 is now eligible for the coronavirus vaccine!

Head straight to https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination or just call 119 to book your appointments.

It’s been such a challenging year for us all and I hope you’ve enjoyed the chance in recent weeks to finally, safely, start to reunite with friends and family. The vaccines have saved thousands upon thousands of lives already and every jab is safely taking us one step closer to the normality we are all so desperate for.

If you are eligible for the vaccine but haven’t got around to booking your appointment yet, this is your chance. Whether for you, your family or your community, I hope that you will take up this wonderful opportunity to get your jab. In our community jabs are taking place at the Wilson and at a number of local pharmacies and, further afield, at the AFC Wimbledon stadium and Centre Court Shopping Centre.

There are also a number of pop up hubs coming to our community where no appointment is needed. The next pop up hub is at South Mitcham Community Centre (Haslemere Ave, Phipps Bridge, CR4 3PR) on Monday 14th June (6pm - 10pm). Anyone over 25 is welcome - just pop down with proof of age and your face mask. Both Pfizer and AstraZeneca will be available at this site and there will also be medically qualified staff on site who will be able to answer any questions.

I know that you will share my sincere thanks for all of the vaccinators and volunteers for their tireless work, particularly all of those at the Wilson who have already vaccinated tens of thousands of residents in our community.

If you have any concerns about taking the vaccine, I would be more than happy to discuss some of the myths currently circulating in our area. Please email me at mcdonaghs@parliament.uk or call my office on 0207 219 4678.
